Featured Artist for May 2007!
From Sing Your Life:
Gayle started performing publicly at the age of 11, singing at a fund raiser for the Governor
of Washington State. She studied voice and sang for many women's social clubs over the next
7 years.
She performed with the USO and Army personnel doing Damn Yankees and an original Review,
traveling around army and air force bases in southern Oklahoma and northern Texas.
Gayle moved to California, married and raised a family, and retired from singing, other than
church choirs, community theater and barbershop choruses and quartets.
Upon retiring, she moved to The Villages, FL. This is an amazing place with many
opportunities to perform. Since moving there in 2002, Gayle has performed for dozens of
social clubs organized in The Villages, and for nearby local communities. In addition,
she performs regularly in many shows at the performing arts center in The Villages.
From Gayle:
"I will be teaching a class starting June 1st at our local Lifelong Learning College, on vocal
production and stage presence. I look forward to a summer of singing for weddings, club dates, etc.
I might even get back into musical theater. I don't know what the future will bring, but it will
include music and performing as long as people want to hear me."
